It truly amazes us when we hear people says that other handymen don’t answer the phone or return messages.  To be fair, there are only so many hours in the day to talk and bidding on prices takes time and consideration.  Their business model might be saving time by not responding to what they perceive as small concerns. As the customer, it is wise to be wary of anyone who doesn’t have the courtesy to communicate with you.

• THEY DON’T SHOW UP ON TIME OR AT ALL

A handyman will sometimes just tell you a price to get the job at all costs, even if that means they are not making a fair wage.  It will be easy for them to forget about you when another opportunity pops up.  If a handyman undersells himself, he may quickly move on to a bigger job to adequately make a living. We price ourselves fairly and always show up for our commitments.

• THEY DON’T SEEM TO CARE TOO MUCH

While the issue may be important to you, there are times where the cheaper handyman simply doesn’t see the value or have the time to commit to a small concern. We care, and take all of your concerns seriously.

• THEY ARE LESS RESPONSIVE IF SOMETHING IS NOTICED AFTER A JOB HAS BEEN PAID FOR

We guarantee our work in writing and draw up clear agreements that we stand by.

• THEY USE CHEAP RATHER THAN GOOD MATERIALS

A contractor may not always tell you when they are using the cheapest possible options for your project.   They will likely introduce the least expensive options when trying to ensure they stay within a limited budget.  And the last thing a handyman will want to do is increase your options while they are protecting their wage for the entire job. We let you choose the materials, whether you would like the most affordable or the most luxurious, or somewhere in between.

• THEY ARE MORE CONCERNED WITH GETTING A JOB DONE QUICKLY, RATHER THAN CORRECTLY

There are ways in construction to cut corners, and that happens when someone tries to get out the door quicker than they arrived in the door. Speed does not always equal quality. We are efficient and on time, but quality is never sacrificed.

• NOT LICENSED AND INSURED AND NOT OPERATING LEGALLY

Many contractors do not operate legally, nor do they have licensure within the State of California.  While some home owners may not mind, it is important to note that you take on a certain liability when letting people work on your home who are not registered, insured, or have other legal requirments in order.  We are 100% legal in all of our business dealings.

• VALUE INCLUDES STABILITY FROM THE START
